Overnight Oats

Overnight Oats

By: Jenn Alberts

If you’ve been waiting for an easy breakfast recipe you can make with your kids, this is it! Maybe you want to sleep in or get out for a run tomorrow… well have the kids make breakfast the night before. No cooking, totally adaptable to each family member, and delicious.

In our house we usually agree on flavors and what to eat! In this case I don’t drink milk but my daughter does so for her overnight oats she adds regular milk and I use almond milk. You can add all sorts of mix ins like almonds, blueberries, apples, bananas or leave as is for maple and brown sugar. We both agree on wanted the sweet, but you can leave that out of yours.

This is a really easy recipe, give it a try, your breakfast will be waiting for you in the morning!

Spicy Ketchup

Maple & Brown Sugar is our favorite!

Add all ingredients to mason jar with lid or bowl with lid. Shake well or stir and refrigerate overnight. Enjoy in the morning!

Apple Overnight Oats is awesome too!

Experiment with different add in’s and different milk and milk alternatives. My daughter prefers oat milk while I really like mine with almond milk. 1/2 a cup of diced apples are a great mix in! Try different fruits like blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries.
