Instructions
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium low heat until warm.
Add all spices : cumin seeds, oregano, ground cumin, garlic powder, and salt.
Add rice and stir and coat rice with spices. Cook rice until slightly toasted.
Stir in onions and cook until slightly translucent (5-8 min).
Stir in tomato sauce, vegetable broth, and water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes until rice is tender.
Garnish with chopped cilantro!
