Double Chocolate Brownies
Double Chocolate Brownies
By: Jenn Alberts
Here’s an absolutely easy and delicious brownie recipe that you can make at home in under an hour. No need to buy a mix ever again! People are often very impressed when I show up with homemade, from scratch, brownies and it’s almost as easy as using a box from the store. There are no exotic ingredients here and you don’t even need a mixer!
My daughter says these are actually TOO chocolatey??? Is that possible?? If you don’t love the double chocolate (or you are counting those calories) you can omit the 1 cup of additional chocolate chips add ins at the end.
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°
Grease 13 x 9 x 2 glass baking dish
Step 2
Melt chocolate. I use my microwave on 50% power, 1 min at a time, to melt chocolate. Be sure to use a reduced power or you may burn your chocolate. You can use a double boiler if you wish, I just find that method takes more time.
Step 3
Add vegetable oil, sugar and eggs to your melted chocolate chips. Mix well with spoon or mixer.
Step 4
Stir flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt to separate bowl and add in OR use a sifter or fine strainer and add directly to chocolate mix. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
Step 5
Add chocolate chips and stir well.
Step 6
Pour mixture into baking dish and spread evenly.
Step 7
Bake in preheated oven for 30-35min.
